This painting features many architectural characteristics and colors of Mexico. Depicts it's natural beauty, cultural richness, traditions, folklore, historical relevance, cuisine, art crafts and great hospitality. Also featured is a Volkswagen Beetle, homage to the first car my mother owned in Mexico.

Pueblos Natal

These two paintings were created for my mom and dad as a christmas gift. The view of each painting is the view of the place where my parents grew up. My mother was born and raised in a small town in Tlaltenango, Zacatecas (Left) and my dad was born and raised in the city of Zacatecas, Zacatecas (Right). The frame was also custom made.

Mariachi Calavera Papel Picado

With paper sourced from the National Museum of Mexican Arts in Chicago, I created a portrait dedicated for Dia de los Muertos that features a mariachi wearing the traditional attire.

Chicago Map Project

2019

Here's a little personal project (4.5ft by 6ft) that I created for my room to fit my aesthetic. I'm always trying to add a bit of uniqueness onto each one of my projects that both challenge me and test my patience as a designer.

In this project, I used BLACK 2.0,The world’s mattest, flattest, black art material, and white vinyl. In short, I painted 11 artboards, cut out a the vinyl using my hand designed illustration of the map of Chicago, stuck them on the boards, and put it up on my wall.
